How to do your own laundry.

List of ingredients :

  • 20g of authentic Marseille horseshoe soap shavings
  • 20g of baking soda (helps deodorize and give shine to your laundry)
  • 7g of soda crystals
  • 1L of boiling water

List of utensils:

  • 1 kitchen scale (otherwise approximately 1 teaspoon for 5 g. 1 tablespoon for 15 g)
  • 1 large container
  • 1 or more glass bottles depending on the quantity you make

Steps :

  1. Mix everything in a large container.
  2. Let it cool, the detergent will thicken. Over time, if it shifts, mix before each use.

USE: pour 1 dose (75 ml) into the drum or bin of your laundry.

MACHINE MAINTENANCE TIP: Regularly descale your machine with a tablespoon of vinegar in the fabric softener tray (makes laundry soft and odorless) and from time to time turn your machine empty at 90°

INFO: With 750g of shavings you can do around 500 washes.

How to make your own scouring cream.

List of ingredients :

  • 50g baking soda
  • 10g green clay
  • 5g of degreasing soda crystals
  • 50g of black soap

List of utensils:

  • 1 kitchen scale (otherwise approximately 1 teaspoon for 5 g. 1 tablespoon for 15 g)
  • 1 large container, provide a lid as this will contain the mixture

Steps :

  1. Mix everything in a large container.
  2. Leave to rest for 24 hours. The dough will harden.

USE: Rub your damp sponge directly into the pot.

Deeply cleans all surfaces (ideal for kitchen sinks). Remember to rinse afterwards.

How to make sturdy dishes.

List of ingredients :

  • 6cl / 60ml boiling water
  • 80g of authentic Marseille Fer à Cheval soap shavings
  • 2 tbsp. tablespoons of soda crystals
  • 2c. tablespoon of baking soda

List of utensils:

  • 1 kitchen scale (otherwise approximately 1 teaspoon for 5 g. 1 tablespoon for 15 g)
  • 1 silicone mold or an ice cube mold

Steps :

  1. Heat over low heat (around 60°).
  2. Mix well.
  3. Pour into the silicone mold;
  4. Leave to dry for 48 hours.
    If the soda rises, simply re-moisten.

USE: Unmold and rub your sponge or dishwashing brush.
