Art et Savon de Marseille

This article highlights the artistic work of Frédérique Nalbandian, who explores the complexity of the living world and the human body through sculptures made from Marseille soap. The artist finds in soap a material in constant metamorphosis, oscillating between solidity and fluidity, foam and effervescence. This hydrophilic material lends itself perfectly to her experiments, revealing a singular beauty and bewitching sensuality, reminiscent of marble. The collaboration between Frédérique Nalbandian and Fer à Cheval gives rise to a poetic story, in which soap is seen not as perfect, but as alive.

Marseille soap in all its forms!

We are delighted to present the work of Frédérique Nalbandian, with whom we have been collaborating for several years. The artist explores the very essence of the complexity of the living world and the human body through sculptures made from Savon de Marseille. Her attraction to soap lies in its metamorphosis over time, its ability to oscillate between solidity and fluidity, between foam and effervescence. Soap, a hydrophilic material, lends itself perfectly to all the changes desired by the artist. In her experimental explorations, she discovers in this material a singular beauty, a bewitching, enigmatic sensuality resembling marble.
