Sodium Percarbonate: your multi-purpose cleaner

What is Sodium Percarbonate?

Sodium Percarbonate (or sodium percarbonate) is a white, odorless powder composed of sodium carbonate (or soda crystals) and hydrogen peroxide.

  • Soda crystals are a surface agent (or surfactant) that allows the cleaning of surfaces.
  • Hydrogen peroxide (or active oxygen) is a bleaching agent.

It is a multi-purpose cleaner that degreases, whitens and purifies laundry, dishes or tile joints in the kitchen, bathroom or terraces.

Sodium Percarbonate is also environmentally friendly! Its use is safe for the environment as it does not contain any additives that are often present in household products.

Laundry

- For laundry washing: add 1 to 2 tablespoons of Sodium Percarbonate to the drum of the washing machine.

- To remove stains from white and light-colored laundry: before washing, moisten the area with hot or lukewarm water (cold for blood stains), apply a little sodium percarbonate and leave for 30 minutes before washing.

- To purify and remove stains from very dirty textiles: before washing, soak the textiles in hot water with 1 to 2 tablespoons of Sodium Percarbonate per liter. Rub the stains, leave to soak for 30 minutes and then machine wash.

The house

- To clean shower, bathtub and tile joints: pour 2 tablespoons of Sodium Percarbonate into 100 ml of hot water.

- To unclog toilets: pour 3 tablespoons of Sodium Percarbonate into 1 liter of boiling water.

- For cleaning floors and surfaces (except linoleum and waxed floors, aluminum, lacquered, painted or waxed surfaces): dissolve Sodium Percarbonate (1 to 2 tablespoons per liter) in a bucket of very hot water. If necessary, add household black soap (1 tablespoon per liter). Use for cleaning, then rinse.

- To clean the terrace: pour 1-2 tablespoons of Sodium Percarbonate per liter of hot water. Scrub the terrace with this preparation using a broom. This solution is very effective at removing black or green stains and cleaning joints. Rinse well after use, especially on limestone.
